What GED testing accommodations are
available if I have a documented disability?
If
you
have a documented disability that could keep you from successfully
taking the GED Tests in the way they are usually given, you might be
entitled to receive testing accommodations. Many famous and successful
people with learning disabilities have learned to utilize various
accommodations to help them succeed in life. Accommodations are

A Testing Accommodations Appeal form may be used if you wish to appeal the results of your request. If you need assistance completing the form call us at (206) 723-6288. The person seeking accommodations must complete Section 1 of the form & a professional diagnostician or advocate must complete Section 3 of the form and may attach supporting documentation. Ferdinand St Seattle, WA 98118 Counselors, advocates and professionals who document disabilities may find it usefull to reference the following documents for specific information on documentation diagnosis requirements: GUIDELINES FOR MAKING REQUEST FOR GED TESTING ACCOMMODATIONS" prepared by the GED administration in Olympia. or PDF version of Section 11 of the GED Examiner's Manual, "Accommodated Testing of GED Candidates with Disabilities" Each request is considered on an individual basis. Please allow at least two weeks for approval verification. If the accommodations are approved, we will arrange with you to conduct the GED testing with approved accommodations. There is no additional cost for accommodated testing. Appointments are required for ALL accommodated testing which may occur outside of our normal testing hours. Braille & Audio test retakes may require additional advance notice. Late arrivals for appointments may lose the opportunity to utilize extended time and therefore may be required to reschedule. High school age students seeking diagnosis/documentation are encouraged to contact their local school district for help.
